Mahavidyalaya Praktani runs various Social Service Programmes (SSP) to support underprivileged communities, inspired by the ideals of Swami Vivekananda.
These programmes are funded through generous contributions from our alumni.
Ongoing Projects
1975–78 Benevolent Fund – Supports Lokashiksha Parishad trainees with startup kits for self-employment.
Coordinated by Wing Commander Sri Krishnendu Kumar Kundu and batchmates (1975-78 Batch).
Early Child Education Programme at “PRAYAS” – Niljora, Matgoda, Bankura.
Provides pre-primary education & midday meals to children aged 3–5.
MVP funds the entire project since 2023.
This centre runs by Ramakrishna Mission Lokasiksha Parishad, Narendrapur.
Students’ Conferences – Organise in collaboration with our college every year in different places of West Bengal.
Endowment Funds for Social Service
1964–67 Alumni Welfare Endowment Fund – Donated by ex-students of 1964–67 batch, including Sri Jugal Kishore Ghorai, Sri Debabrata Goswami, Sri Debi Prasad Bhowmik, and others.
Late Sudhanshu Kumar Maity & Late Sanaka Maity Memorial Social Service Fund – Donated by Sri Uday Sankar Maity (1989–92 Batch, Joint Secretary of MVP)
